3 Best Muscle Building Workouts

muscle building workouts
Before we dive into the best muscle building workouts, you must keep in mind that your nutrition is the single most important factor in building muscle and maintaining or losing weight.  Your nutrition and diet need to be regulated for these workouts to work.  Obviously in the case of building more muscle, you will want to consume more calories in order to gain mass.  You should also be sure to keep track of how much weight you are gaining, and that the weight gained is in the form of muscle as opposed to fat.  If you can gain about 1 lb a week, that would be a great starting point.  Now, the best muscle building workouts you can do.

Deadlift

This is a great exercise that will work a wide range of muscles including your core, quads, hamstrings, lower back and your grip.  You do need to make sure to learn the proper form before attempting to lift heavy loads to avoid injury and optimize your workouts.  Have someone knowledgeable on bodybuilding watch you do a few repetitions to make sure you are doing the exercise properly.

Squats

Squats are the best leg exercises you can do for your lower body.  These exercises will focus on your core, glutes, hamstrings and quads.  When doing these exercises, you do want to keep in mind to maintain proper form as well.  You can start with lower weight levels and increase the weights as you progress.  Be sure to have your quads almost parallel to the ground with your back straight and your chest out while using your core.

Bench Press (Flat Barbell)

These are probably the most popular of the three exercises, as it is a staple in every gym.  These exercises will help to work out your triceps, deltoids, and pectorals.  You do want to be sure to use a full range of motion with the proper form in order to get the most out of these exercises.
